Have you been wondering where all the candy went? The answer may surprise you.

Just a week ago, the Sweets & Snacks Expo kicked off in Las Vegas. This trade-only event hosted a swarm of confectioners, gathered to compare packaging, innovation, and crown one special product "best in show."

Deals and distribution. That's the name of the game. 

This year's convention boasted 1,000 exhibitors. And while innovation might be the prize everyone was chasing, I'll stick with an old-time favorite. Tootsie Rolls forever!
